With our Event Director being female, Jess has a passion for getting more women joining in, inspiring others to take part in sport and also supporting one another.

Not just that, we would love to see the Cambridgeshire Summer Run have a gender-equal split when it comes to participants. But similar to most sporting events, you’ll find there’s more men taking part than women.

To help encourage more Women to dust off their trainers, feel less intimidated or maybe even embarrassed and to take part in the first ever Cambridgeshire Summer Run, there will be a Women’s Only start gate available.

You don’t have to do anything, other than to enter the CSR and along with your girl-friends, sisters, mum and grandmothers, make your way to the Women’s Only start gate on the morning of the run.

We want to hear your story

In the lead up to the Cambridgeshire Summer Run, we want to share stories of our amazing female runners, as well as inspire others to join us and enter.

So whether you’re a complete beginner, looking to raise money for a very special charity, had a life-changing illness or incident you’ve had to contend with or even if you’ve taken part in lots of different events, we’d love to share your story through our social networks and on our blog.

Tell us why you’ve got in to running, what you enjoy most about running and why you fancy joining us this June. Click on the link below and maybe by sharing your positive experiences, we might be able to get more women participating in running!
