Our Tour Makers are the life and sole of our events, and without them, we wouldn’t have such amazing events. Each event requires people to volunteer their time for various tasks and roles.

Our Tour Maker program is completely different to any other volunteering because we like to give back and say thankyou with a voucher or donation to your chosen charity for every shift you help with. You’ll also look the part in one of our Event T-shirts.

None of our roles are boring, too hard and we definitely won’t just leave you in one place on your own. We make your experience fun, exciting and give you chance to meet some amazing people too.

Register your details in the link below and when the roles are available, you can pick and choose how much, how little and exactly what job you’d like to be part of. If you have any questions about our Tour Maker programme, email us at enquiries@cambridgeshiresummerhalf.com.

I’d love to be part of the team. Are there any benefits?

We appreciate all the help from our Tour Makers and we wouldn’t be able to put on such an amazing event without you. So to say thankyou, we give all of our Tour Makers a £20.00 voucher or donation to your chosen charity, a Tour Maker t-shirt, you’ll have a packed lunch waiting and unlimited tea and coffee throughout the whole weekend.

We’ve got a group / club who would like to volunteer. What are the benefits to us all being a Tour Maker?

We know we can’t put on our events without our Tour Makers so for every 5 volunteers you’re able to bring to the Tour Maker Team, we’d like to say thankyou by giving a donation of £50 to your club or charity, Tour Maker t-shirt to each volunteer, packed lunch, tea and coffee. You’ll also have the chance to promote your club or charity on the finish section of the route and also in the Team Village.

What hours are you looking for Tour Makers to help?

We’re looking for help from 6am through to approximately 1pm.

What roles are available as a Tour Maker?

We have a wide range of roles, that are all as important as one another. These include Registration and handing our Runner Packs, marshalling and encouraging runners, pointing runners in the right direction at the Event HQ, helping hydrate runners at our Pit Stops, as well as presenting runners with their finishers medal as they cross they finish line.

Do I need to have any experience of being a volunteer?

Not at all, we will have lots of people available to guide you in the right direction as well as brief you. We host a Tour Makers evening so we can all get together, meet each other and also brief you on what to expect when you arrive on the big day. We’ll also send you a briefing pack on the lead up to the event so you have information to hand too.

How do I sign up?

All you need to do is click the link below, register your details and then we’ll be in touch as soon as all of the job roles are available to choose from.
